Empowering the Next Generation

The Water Eagles had a meaningful weekend exploring civic engagement, learning from public servants like Maria Cervania about advocacy and leadership in the AAPI community, and connecting with young leaders like Winn!

Our youth also received valuable guidance on college applications and FAFSA from WAVES volunteer Moxuan Zhu, a former electrical engineer who developed an app to help students navigate the process.

At UCA WAVES, we believe supporting youth well-being means addressing the many factors that shape their futures, including educational, financial, occupational, and civic well-being. Building authentic connections and connecting young people with resources empowers them to grow, lead, and thrive in today’s world. 

What an honor it is to equip the next generation! This is what we love to see. The Water Eagles have already been engaged in such meaningful work, an we know they’re just getting started.
