Our Celebration of AANHPI Heritage Month Continues!
Last week, we were honored to hold a virtual screening of Silent War: Asian American Reckonings with Mental Health for the NC Department of Health and Human Services (NC DHHS). With more than 80 attendees, the discussion sparked meaningful engagement and thoughtful feedback from participants. We’re especially grateful to everyone who shared their experiences, reflections, and support throughout the event.
From systemic barriers to intracultural stigma, we know the AAPI community faces unique challenges when it comes to mental health. Change starts with recognizing that, which is exactly what this film is designed to do. Weaving together personal, layered narratives with expert insight, Silent War illuminates the crisis at hand while highlighting what makes a real difference.
We’re deeply grateful to NC DHHS for recognizing the value of this piece, and we’re touched by how strongly it resonated with participants. Thank you to everyone who made this event possible!
