Yan’s journey began in Beijing, but she grew up in Guangzhou. She then ventured to the United Kingdom with her husband for four years, soaking in new experiences. Upon returning home, Yan kickstarted a natural skincare brand in both Shanghai and Guangzhou, tapping into her passion for beauty.

As for Yan, her diverse career spans across numerous industries. She’s worked as a financial salesman, a Chinese takeout cashier, a marketing manager in a large IT company, a cleaner in a British supermarket, and even as a licensed lawyer before founding her natural skincare factory.

Settling in North Carolina in 2013, Yan continued to expand her repertoire, working as a Chinese teacher, reporter, and editor.

Though Yan’s academic background lies in investment and finance, her true passions lie in crafting handmade soap, concocting natural skincare products, exploring aromatherapy, and mastering new media marketing strategies. Her deep interest in learning psychology drives her marketing approach, allowing her to understand customer behavior and preferences on a profound level.

Much like the classic Tang poetry and Song Ci, Yan finds solace in fleeting travels and never shies away from starting anew.
