WAVES Makers Young Professional Council: Xi “Justin” Zhang

Xi “Justin” Zhang was a public school high school counselor in Williamson County Schools, TN. Recently, he joined STEM Prep Academy High School, a charter school in Nashville. He graduated from Peabody College, Vanderbilt University majoring in School Counseling. He presented in front of other counselors several times on how to offer multiculturally competent college, career, and mental health counseling for Asian students and families. He also sponsored the AAPI Student Union in his former school. In addition, he joined Chinese parent WeChat groups in the Greater Nashville Area to help Chinese parents navigate the American K12 education system.
