WAVES Makers Young Professional Council: Warren Lu

Warren Lu holds a Masters of Public Health in Epidemiology with a concentration in Population Mental Health. He currently works at Columbia’s Mailman School of Public Health as a Data Analyst investigating current public health crisis such as the opioid epidemic.

Warren’s research interests include mental health disorders, substance use, and the criminal legal system. He is highly interested in the social determinants and structural discrimination that lead to deleterious mental health outcomes in minority communities.

Joining WAVES Maker as a researcher, he is excited to contribute to a thoughtful, empathetic, and grounded grassroots organization that is aimed at serving a vulnerable population with dire need of mental health support.
