Do you feel stressed, worried, or sad? The Strong Minds program can help. This free program offers 10 one-on-one sessions in a safe, confidential space with a trained Community Mental Health Worker. You’ll learn simple, practical tools to manage stress, improve your mood, and support your overall well-being. Strong Minds also connects you to local resources and support in your community. Designed for adults 18 and older, the program is here to help you improve the way you think, act, and feel, building skills that can make a real difference in your mental health and daily life.

“I felt like [they] cared about my progress and that made a big difference for me. It felt personal, not clinical. It was more like talking to a friend and because of it, I was able to be open.”

International Women’s Day Self-Care Gathering
On March 8, UCA WAVES hosted a Women’s Self-Care Gathering in celebration of International Women’s Day, bringing together more than 60 women and community members for an afternoon of connection, meditation, games, and homemade pastries. The event created a welcoming space to pause, build relationships, and focus on well-being—values that reflect the heart of the Strong Minds program. The event was led by Lei, our Strong Minds Program Lead, as part of our effort to expand our impact of this program.
