Qing Li MD, DrPH

Qing Li MD, DrPH is a certified relationship educator and an OB/GYN-trained substance use and injury epidemiologist with a Doctor of Public Health degree in Maternal and Child Health. Her public health practice and research goals are to 1) build integrated data systems and apply epidemiology in the etiology, early prevention, and surveillance of mental health problems, intimate partner and dating violence, homicide, suicide, overdose, adverse birth outcomes, brain injury, and sexual risk across the life-course, with a focus on mothers, early childhood, and adolescents, 2) design and evaluate culturally-tailored preventive interventions (e.g., Relationship Education, Home Visiting, Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment), public health laws (e.g., firearm legislation), quality improvement collaborative, and integrated systems of care, and 3) apply implementation science, community-engaged research, and transdisciplinary and translational team science to engage sectors, strengthen families, health systems, and community capacity, and promote health equity, relational health, intergenerational solidarity, and family resilience. She received her DrPH degree from University of Alabama at Birmingham, U.S. and her medical degree from Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China.
