Dr. Melissa Green has dedicated more than 20 years of experience as a public health practitioner applying principles of community partnership and community engaged research practices to advance health equity research for racially diverse, under-resourced, and rural populations. She brings experience in team building, communicating with diverse audiences, problem-solving systemic issues, and conflict resolution as a coach, consultant, and leader of community and population health interventions and equity-centered leadership development programming. A thread throughout her career is inclusive collaboration emphasizing partnerships with community collaborators and across the silos of departments, schools, and institutions to conduct meaningful and translational contributions to the research enterprise. Dr. Green is Project Director for Whole Community Connection, a community-academic leadership development program for rural communities and Deputy Director of Communications for Clinical Scholars.
