Robert Locke is an Educational Facilitator, Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS), and holistic wellness coach (CPT) specializing in adult learning, skill development, and integrated wellness strategies His foundation in leadership, systematic problem-solving, and crisis response was established through his service in the United States Navy; where he first discovered his passion for educating, followed by over a decade of navigating complex life transitions, acute stress, and personal recovery. Complementing his behavioral health background, Robert holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Cybersecurity; an analytical foundation that drives his ability to deconstruct complex, systemic issues down to their root causes and design structured, scalable solutions.

In his direct peer support practice—including work with Veteran Services of the Carolinas on the PATH team and direct engagement within Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) network ecosystems; Robert has supported military veterans and community members navigating acute housing instability, substance misuse, complex trauma, and mental health challenges. During his work with veterans at the VA, Robert developed and facilitated “OWN” (Optimal Wellness Now), an educational wellness framework designed to empower participants through structured health education, lifestyle strategies, and self-directed growth. His facilitation background also includes leading community wellness groups, as well as holding facilitation credentials through SMART Recovery with more in the works.

As the founder, program developer & educator of Evolve Optimal, Robert integrates behavioral health support with physical wellness, holding certifications in personal training and holistic fitness education. He creates practical educational materials and skill-building modules focused on personal development, stress management, and sustainable health habits. Robert draws on his training in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), QPR suicide prevention, and adult-learning principles to deliver engaging, highly participative workshops tailored for multidisciplinary teams, peer specialists, and community stakeholders.

Robert believes that sustainable well-being requires a grounded approach connecting mental clarity, whole health, and actionable education. He is dedicated to creating collaborative, high-engagement learning environments where participants can identify root challenges, acquire practical tools, and develop a deeper compassionate understanding for the most vulnerable and high needs.
