Assistant Farm Manager Of Karen Community Farm at Oaky Grove

My name is Htoo saw ywa and I love helping my community in whatever
way possible for me. Before I came to the USA I was teaching for two years
after graduating from the Eden Valley Academy in Thailand.Since I have
seen there are alot of community needs such as language barriers, health
barriers, technology barriers and social status barriers I have the sense that
our community should not continue to isolated itself from American society
any more and we have to integrate into American community. That’s why
our community leaders have formed the United Karen Community Of
Raleigh and at the same time through the assistance of our partners and
friends we have built the Karen Community Farm At Oaky Grove. The
KCFOG has been the important bridge between Wake County and United
Karen Community of Raleigh. I am also a farmer as well as assistant farm
manager at the KCFOG.
