Silent War Team Attends Moving Screening in Lancaster City

A Beautiful Night Honoring Mental Health

What an amazing time we had Wednesday night at the Ware Center for the Arts! This screening was particularly special, as it brought the film to our team’s home turf—Millersville University.

We kicked off the night with a powerful panel discussion with Margaret Thorwart, Director of MU Center for Health Education & Promotion; Meagan Howell-Brogan, Head of Counseling Services, Franklin And Marshal College; Irma Do, Coordinator, (MSW) Faith Communities Partnership, Mental Health America of Lancaster County; and Sandy Chen, featured in Silent War, who is currently pursuing a degree in psychology to continue her passion for mental health advocacy.

Following that, Brahm Bean and Lizzie Allen beautifully sang “The Silent War,” an original piece written and recorded for the documentary. Their performance was one that will not soon leave our memory!

After the showing, members of our production crew—Director Changfu Chang; Assistant Director & Co-Producer A.C. Brooke; Director of Music Barry Atticks; and Editor Jordan Graff—took the stage for a Q&A. The audience asked some great questions, and it was a powerful note to end on, hopefully promoting the audience to continue reflecting on the themes of the film.

All in all, it was truly a spectacular evening, and we can’t express enough just how grateful we are to everyone who came out to support. We hoped you were as moved as we were.
