The Festivities Continue!

WAVES was honored to be part of the CAFA Lunar New Year Spectacular, a breathtaking evening of music, dance, and cultural storytelling celebrating the beauty, history, and diversity of Chinese heritage.

One of the most meaningful moments of the night was seeing mental health represented on stage. We were proud to stand alongside NC Department of Health and Human Services’ Director Kelly Crosbie and her incredible team, including James Miller and Pooja Mehta. As our Executive Director, Lily Chen, put it, “Promoting mental health in cultural events seems natural because it connects culture, dance, music, and family to wellness—an ‘entry point.’ Primary prevention and presence do matter.”
