Together Is How We Build

This past Saturday, WAVES was honored to attend and table at the Chinese American Friendship Association (CAFA) Lunar New Year Gala Dinner, a signature evening of cultural celebration, shared meals, and meaningful connection. Events like this are a reminder of the importance of meeting the community where it is and normalizing conversations about mental health, especially in AAPI and other underserved communities.

We were delighted to invite our partners—including two Karen refugee families and several advisors—to share in this special night as a way of expressing our gratitude. Thank you to CAFA, the Triangle Community Foundation, and all of our supporters for uplifting this work. Coming together is how we build a more connected, resilient community. What an honor it is to be around so amazing people and organizations who share that vision!
