Making WAVES In San Fransisco!

WAVES was proud to be represented at this year’s AAPI Youth Mental Health Conference held by The Asian American Foundation (TAAF), where Reid Bowman, MPH, CHES, joined fellow panelists Quynh Nguyen, Rupesh Shah, Tone Va’i, LCSW, and Sruthi Chandrasekaran for the opening session, “Beyond the Surface: Stories Beneath the Numbers.”🌄

This powerful conversation brought data to life through lived experience, professional insight, and community perspectives. Together, the panel explored key findings from Beyond the Surface and emphasized the human stories behind AANHPI youth mental health statistics📊 The discussion highlighted the urgent need for culturally grounded support, collective advocacy, and storytelling as a catalyst for change.
