The Asian American Foundation Brings National Insights to Roots & Resilience
We wanted to take a moment to thank The Asian American Foundation (TAAF)💚 At our 2025 AAPI Youth Mental Health Conference, Roots & Resilience, last weekend, we were honored to feature TAAF’s landmark national youth mental health survey in the session “Revealing the Realities.”
Moderated by Dr. Justin Chen, this panel paired data with lived experience, highlighting urgent trends, challenges, and implications for educators, service providers, and advocates. We’re especially grateful to Sruthi Chandrasekaran, MSc, MA, TAAF’s Director of Data & Research, for sharing her expertise and passion for data-driven advocacy to advance AAPI equity. We also want to thank additional panelists Eh Taw Boe, Dr. Charissa Cheah, and Finneas Wong, whose voices illuminated the information at hand, and session organizer Peggy Wong, MSN, PMHNP-BC, who ensured things went smoothly behind the scenes.
By bringing both evidence and community voices to the table, TAAF helped us connect the numbers to the real lives they represent. Thank you TAAF for your leadership and partnership in advancing AAPI youth mental health! Here’s to more AAPI representation in research!📊
