At the 2025 AAPI Youth Mental Health Conference, we’ll find out together. “Revelaing the Realities” is a powerful session that will reveal key findings from The Asian American Foundation’s (TAAF) national survey on AAPI youth mental health, and what they mean for educators, advocates, and communities.

This session is moderated by Dr. Justin Chen, Vice Chair of Ambulatory Services and Vice Chair of Health Justice in the Department of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine/NY-Presbyterian, and Executive Director of the MGH Center for Cross-Cultural Student Emotional Wellness. Joing him is Sruthi Chandrasekaran, MSC, TAAF’s Director of Data & Research passionate about data-driven advocacy, Dr. Charissa Cheah, a psychology professor and researcher on social-emotional health in AANHPI families, Finneas Wong, a PhD student focused on identity development in Asian and LGBTQ+ youth, and Eh Taw Boe, a student advocate dedicated to community care. Behind the scenes, Peggy Wong, psychiatric-mental health nurse practitione, organizes the session, ensuring powerful conversations around data and cultural context.
