Welcome, Victor!
We are honored to welcome Victor Armstrong, MSW, Senior Vice President at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, as a keynote speaker at the 2025 AAPI Youth Mental Health Conference.
With over 30 years of experience in human services, Victor is a nationally recognized leader in health equity and suicide prevention. He has served as the inaugural Chief Health Equity Officer for NC DHHS, Director of the NC Division of Mental Health, and Vice President of Behavioral Health at Atrium Health.
Victor is also the National Director of Soul Shop for Black Churches, helping faith leaders minister to those facing suicidal desperation. His work continues nationally as part of the 988 National Advisory Committee, the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention, and several boards dedicated to equity and integrative health.
At the conference, Victor will deliver a powerful keynote on equity, access, and the urgent need to center historically marginalized voices in suicide prevention and mental health care.
