Introducing Director of Music, Dr. Barry Atticks

The sound of Silent War owes much to Dr. Barry Atticks, our Director of Music. A professor of music technology at Millersville University, Barry has built a career at the intersection of sound, education, and innovation.

He’s worked in New York and Los Angeles as a music engineer, sound designer, and effects editor on TV hits like Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman and Chicago Hope, and even collaborated with Hans Zimmer’s Media Ventures. A Fulbright Scholar and founder of Drexel University’s acclaimed music industry program, Barry’s teaching has been recognized by Rolling Stone and the College Music Society. In 2022, he was named Educator of Note by the Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame.

Barry is also a published researcher, international presenter, active performer, and the current president of the Association for Technology in Music Instruction. As a longtime collaborator and friend of Director Changfu Chang, we’re so grateful to have his talent on this project.
