On May 14, 2025, we proudly partnered with The Asian American Foundation to host Beyond the Surface – Understanding the Data, Empowering Our Communities, a powerful and deeply resonant webinar focused on the mental health of AANHPI youth.

With the release of TAAF’s groundbreaking study revealing that nearly half of surveyed youth experience moderate to severe depression—and 30% have considered or attempted suicide—the conversation couldn’t be more urgent.

The webinar brought together youth voices, community leaders, and mental health advocates to unpack these findings and ignite meaningful action. We explored how identity, stigma, and access to culturally competent care intersect in the lives of young AANHPI individuals, especially LGBTQ+ youth and young women, who face disproportionate challenges. Beyond the Surface was more than a webinar—it was a rallying call for healing, visibility, and change.
