On April 27th, we invited veteran families and active duty service members to a community picnic in honor of the Month of the Military Child. With food, games, and fun activities for all ages, it was a wonderful opportunity to connect, engage, and show appreciation for our military-connected families.

As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting the veteran and military community, UCA WAVES is growing its Pathway for Heroes program in Fayetteville. This initiative aims to provide consistent, culturally responsive mental health support and community resources to veterans and their families.

We’re actively working to build strong local partnerships to expand our impact and this picnic was just the beginning. Stay tuned for more events and monthly programming designed to uplift and empower our heroes and their loved ones.
