Wake County Community Health Needs Assessment

On Friday, November 22, Wake County Health and Human Services and UCA WAVES Youth Mental Health Collaborative co-hosted a listening session at the CARY SENIOR CENTER INC to discuss the health needs of the AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islander) community in Wake County, a group that is often underrepresented in healthcare discussions.

Twelve Wake County residents from diverse AAPI community participated in this important conversation, sharing valuable insights and perspectives, including how schools can be at the forefront of addressing young adults’ and children’s mental health needs.

We appreciate their contributions and look forward to continuing the dialogue to better address the unique health needs of these communities.
